DENVER, Co. - Australian women’s national team member Brooke Spence and former Washington Freedom goalkeeper Lauren Robertson have joined the Colorado Rapids Women for the 2012 W-League Season - pending USSF and USL approval.
Spence is coming off a successful season with Brisbane Roar who progressed to the Australian W-League championship game, losing to Canberra United in a tightly contested match. Brisbane Roar FC Head Coach Jeff Hopkins was full of praise for his defender in joining the Colorado Rapids Women.
“Brooke has already achieved a great deal in her career in the Australian W-League including championship medals and international caps but she is always looking to improve all aspects of her game and I am sure Brooke will be a huge boost to the Rapids and will make a real impact."
