BOYDS, Md. – The Washington Spirit Reserves will host their second and final winter tryout for the 2014 W-League team this Saturday, January 4, at the Maryland Soccerplex in Boyds, Maryland. Tryouts are slated to run from 6-8 p.m. on Soccerplex Turf Fields (#18, #19, or #20). Players must register in order to participate in the trials.

As a true reserve team for the full professional Washington Spirit, the W-League Spirit Reserves squad remains a primary proving ground for players to prove themselves capable of deserving a shot at the pros. The W-League team will train frequently alongside the professional team throughout the summer season.

If you would like the opportunity to play for the Spirit Reserves in 2014, fill out the form at the link below and attend the one-day trial on Saturday, January 4 at the Maryland SoccerPlex (meet at field #20) from 6-8 p.m.

Players are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes prior for check-in, warm-up, and stretching. Players are also encouraged to wear weather appropriate clothing for a winter evening tryout.

If you have already attended the previous trial on December 29 or you were a rostered player on the Spirit Reserves in 2013, you are not required to make another $50 payment.

The Spirit Reserves return to W-League action this summer. The 2014 season schedule will be released in late winter/early spring.
